Pluto
Release date: 1.11.2023
Pluto is a collection of Joscha´s Midnight Preachers' first songs. It is the bands debut album. Through a strong and direct inspiration from the night life, each song carries its own descriptive atmosphere. The music focuses on how versatile the life at night can be, whether it's at home, in a bar, in your living room, or up in the mountains. The album Pluto is a cocktail of various emotions, atmospheres, and events that unfold during the night. It explores feelings of hatred, anger, joy, happiness, sorrow, and the end of the world.
APOCALYPSE I+II is an ode to what it's like when everything and everyone is falling apart. After that world has ended, we reach the album's lightest song, which deals with grief, longing, and hope. While BACCHUS offers a heavy and reflective moment, the following song, BOOKAROOM, provides immense relief and a cheerful mood. In the subsequent song, which is the album's title track, the mood shifts from BOOKAROOM's cheerful tune to PLUTO's aggression. Initially written in frustration over the fact that Pluto no longer is classified as a planet, the album then concludes with FRI and SIMPLA, symbolizing the feeling of freedom and pure joy.
